ESPN coverage of British Open is terrible

Much worse than US Open on Fox. Graphics are terrible. Half the time, you don't know whose shot, which shot, which hole.

One of the dumbest things I've ever read on tigernet. And that's saying g something. I'm sure that ESPN stopped caring about the open championship because a guy that pulls for an sec team is out of the tournament. That's brilliant.

Yeah i disagree also. Not anywhere close to as horrible as Fox's coverage was. Not even close. Some people on here hate ESPN so bad just cuz of the sec thing, they make up reasons to trash it.

comes to golf coverage. The announcers, their knowledge, the graphics, the camera angles, etc. are what make CBS the class of golf broadcasting.

It was a little disjointed at times. But, it was certainly no worse than Fox. Any event with Joe Buck as a talking head inevitably sucks.

and a huge upgrade on the US Open. So odd how everyone sees things differently. To each his own though. I loved this British Open. Looking forward to the PGA Championship at Whistling Straights. Anyone know which network that will be televised?

who were definitely better than Fox. And I am not anti-ESpin, except for the way the over pump SEC football. Today's coverage seemed better, but yesterday, Spieth had two straight birdies they completely missed covering, and they were slack about getting graphics on the screen Sunday, though they seemed better today.
But it was a great tournament, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I was hoping Spieth would make the playoff, but it was nice to see Zach Johnson win.

We were on the same page on Spieth. I wanted that kid to win as well. I definitely think one day he passes Tiger in major victories. Can he catch Jack? Time will tell.

Both had bad coverage of these championships. I would have to say Fox was worse tho. What was up with hearing the club hit the ball before the player even made his backswing? Or the ball being halfway to the cup and hearing it fall in. I like the swing tracker that Fox was using on pretty much all shots. ESPN only used that a few times and I think that wouldve been even better and The Open seeing how much the wind actually effected the ball
