Shooter was black as was victim. Watch da video , did have to go elsewhere to confirm victim was black. Maybe Carlsbad was correct and it’s just a hood thing. BLM only matters if it’s a white cop mostly. They really never talk bout the nightly killings black on black.

Because they are separate issues. Apples and oranges. Cops are supposed to uphold the law and not break it. We have high expectations and standards for police officers. What's there to protest about gang violence? That would be a waste of time.

At 100% rate though. There is zero in this world that is 100%. We expect all cops at a 100% rate to behave according to their oath.
We have doctors that kill people everyday due to malpractice. We have teachers that prey on young children. We have ministers that have affairs. We have bosses that verbally abuse employees. We have firefighters that are arsonists.
So I understand that there are bad cops that hurt and kill innocent people and a higher proportion are Black, it let’s hold everyone to the same standard and just prosecute when necessary. Cops are people.

Yes, but they aren't gangbangers. There is just not much a protest would do to stop gange violence. That would be like protesting against the cartels. These protests against police violence or tactics are already working.

Tangible changes in it. I’ll particularly interested in the impact of the $25k. Because that will mean police officers must become insured and that means insurance companies will be a significant part in policing. Good? Bad? Dunno. But certainly a significant change.

Last year 10 unarmed blacks were killed by cops. Blacks are disproportionately represented in crime. Whites are similarly represented in cop killings.
So no, cops are not statistically more apt to kill blacks than whites. The stat showing 10 black deaths by cops shows that 6 of those deaths were results of the cop being attacked by the suspect.
No, most of the BLM narrative is a lie which isn't borne out by the numbers.

by police officers every year, and then analyze the actual incidents to take out anything that almost any reasonable person would say was a situation where the officer had to open fire, and you then look at just black people...the number gets so low, I am kind of surprised no statisticians have voiced a concern that, against the 800,000 cops in the country and hundreds of millions of police interactions, the number of actual questionable deaths can draw absolutely no statistical conclusion.

They are only sperate issues in a vacuum Carlsbad. In real life cops also know the stats, know what goes on in the area and when called in to one of those areas they are understandably already tense and over vigilant. T
If one thinks cops have the same level of anxiety going to a mostly crime free neighborhood as they do crime ridden areas where murders occur frequently you are deluding yourself. Yes they are linked and must be addressed to fix the issues.
