You know Trump could cure cancer and Schumer,

Pelosi and Warren would ask why he hates ALS so much.

The Senate passed a comprehensive bipartisan plan in 2013

Jun 21, 2018, 5:43 PM

but the Republican House shot it down. The Republican Controlled house seems to be the ongoing problem with Mark Meadows and the Freedom Caucus picking up the baton in this instance. Fellow Republicans are complaining that their demands change every day. The WSJ is saying that if Trump would get on board with one of the bills and provide political cover to those who support it, it could be done, but so far, he won't.

Trump has taken ownership of this issue now.

read the article, while he gets a bit excited, he admits that, when Obama took over, his first two years were rightfully focused on an economy he inherited that was crumbling and getting Obamacare passed. Unfortunately Republicans won the House at the end of that two years.

Thanks for posting. Always good to get the facts straight.

Here is a brief fact check from Politifact on the inability of Bush and Obama to get immigration reform passed after getting bipartisan Senate agreement with over 60 votes. Each time, you see the common denominator is an intransigent group of Republicans unwilling to compromise.

Falsehood flies, and truth comes limping after it, so that when men come to be undeceived, it is too late; the jest is over, and the tale hath had its effect: like a man, who hath thought of a good repartee when the discourse is changed, or the company parted; or like a physician, who hath found out an infallible medicine, after the patient is dead.
