Don’t give me the you don’t know his situation. He won’t get a degree from the place he won 2 National Championships with. He’s a Spartanburg kid same as me. Being from Clemson even as a reserve he would be a late round pick and would have his degree. He is not an NFL player caliber enough to transfer.
Example Chase Brice is an NFL caliber QB. He will transfer or get drafted like Matt Cassell did at Southern Cal as a backup. If you are good enough you will make it

Transferring to the RIGHT program and becoming a starter will help Tavien more than 50-70 carries in Tigertown in 2019. The young man will have his Clemson degree no different than most of us, and two natl championships.

just my opinion, but he's done all that's been asked of him, contributed well, but shouldn't be able to attend school passed the semester that he enters the portal .

What a take. He’s going to graduate in a couple weeks so your degree argument holds no water. He’s not getting drafted sitting behind ETN and splitting carries with Dixon. Leaving to go start somewhere is really the only real chance he has to be anything other than a UDFA.
I get wanting him to stay but it’s his last opportunity to get meaningful carries and actually put a good amount of tape out there to maybe make some money.
The guy has 2 natties and will have a Clemson degree, he’s done plenty for the university.

And improve his draft status.
He could go to a team like Memphis and rip up some stats in the G5. He could go to a team like Virginia and extend his winning streak agaisnt the coots. Who knows?
