Dabo's right - FSU as talented as our Tigers

When Dabo said FSU is as talented as our Tigers he wasn't kidding - as least from a stars point of view. According to data from 247 Composite Rankings for the recruiting cycles 2015 - 2018 FSU's average recruiting ranking is 6 vs Clemson's 11. The average recruit star rating is very close with 3.73 for FSU and 3.71 for Clemson. During this 4 year period FSU has 9 5-star recruits vs 11 for us and 48 4-star vs 36 for us. However the two teams have been playing like there is a much greater discrepancy in talent level. Hope (I am always Hopeful :) ) this continues tomorrow. GO TIGERS!!

It will be a big beat down because our coaches evaluate talent not stars and planets!

Many people say these stars don't matter.

In fact, it does. The star ratings aren't always correct. And one of the reasons is it doesn't evaluate everything about a player. One can think of these star ratings as GPA of a graduate. It doesn't mean everything, but it at least tells us about his/her potential in term of scholar.

A Tigernet's article the other day just had it that our coaches look for more than just player's skills. They look at the whole package.

That said, I definitely won't overlook this Florida State team.
