When at a Clemson game, I make as much noise as I can when our defense is on the field. It does not matter which down it is. I can tell that folks in front of me sometimes get irritated.
Am I being rude or is a lot of noise just part of the experience?

Yes....I had one Clemson fan dramatically plug his ear and give me dirty looks every down.
I considered bringing him ear plugs. Lol

I just hope he moved his seats and no longer sits in front of my folks. Last year was his first year there. Guess I will see at the Louisville game.

looked around and yelled, "Where's your spirit people? Get up and cheer!"
She's 14, we were in the Clemson sectiin, and after half prople were just sitting around.
I looked at her amd said, "Honey, you can't call people out like that."
"Dad, these guys work hard. If they aren't going to cheer, why bother coming? They've earned our support and people need to gove it to them. That's how we help our team."
She was right.
We spent the rest of that game yelling "ooohhh" on one leg while kicking the plastic fold down seat behind us with one foot.. our same loud technique for ACCCG.
Be loud and don't apologize. And yes, there are people who enjoy the game but can't stand for 3 hrs cheering. That's fine, but in no way should they be bothered by supporting the team.

Weird. When we were at the Nat, no one sat down. We were in the endzone section mixed with some great fans of both teams.
Wife was exhausted because we sat only during the commercials. All Clemson fans in my vicinity were load as all get out on D.

Almost every Clemson fan I know is awsome. They scream, yell, cheer, stand, pound the seats, high five, clap, some even hug. Lol. Just this one guy. He was not there last weekend, so everyone in that area hopes he is gone.

They do cheer for a good play.....but they don't add to the volume unless it is 3rd down.

1st down is just as important as 3rd down. You are doing it right!! Stay loud the whole time our D is on the field idc if we are up by 30 points.

I prefer to sit on first and second, saving my energy and then go all out on third and fourth. The game ebbs and flows and it seems right to me if the crowd also ebbs and flows, rising to the occasion when it's critical.

steps if being true "non-fans". I get a bunch of stares (thought of stirs here...) but I keep cheering my Tigers on when on D and when appropriate on O (i.e. well before snap after a good play and just after snap ).

cup my hands and yell more upwards instead of over the heads of those in front of me. Yes, we need to be loud as can be, but I respect that people pay a ton of money to have those seats and I'm a loud dude.
Now, if it's 4th down, game on the line with Louisville in town, get over it and let me yell haha.
