Clemson's offense coming. Many of my Tiger Brothers don't either.
Previously most of our skilled players didn't know their assignments.
I know you can point out Tajh, Sammy, Nuk, Ellington, HotRod and a few more like Humph that did, but most of the others got limited playing time because they didn't know their assignments which included blocking downfield. Think of how many times we delighted in Firstdown Brown's downfield blocking last season. Our linemen often missed assignments too. This is the reason Chad has talked 50% and 70% over the past couple of years, imo.
When Coach Morris said his offense was 100% installed I believe he was saying he has guys who know their assignments 100% of the time. I don't think he's talking about introducing new plays I think he's talking about having everyone on the same page at most every time during every play.
This all come to light if you consider how varied and complicated each position becomes and how much everyone's assignment changes from play to play in such a system. The HUNH doesn't give the defense time to thing and it doesn't give the offense time to think either.
Some of our best talent was on the bench last year because they just didn't get it. Now, it's 100%.
That's not to say that everything will be perfect every play but the difference will be stunning to those that don't see what's coming.

Chad emphasizes execution over anything else. Thus he's not going to have them dive deeper into the playbook before they have everything down completely. That's the difference between Spence's system and Morris'. It's like comparing Steele to Venables. You want your scheme simple for your guys but complicated for the opponent. Most of our plays come out of the same base set but that base set can have little wrinkles that makes them seem completely different, thus the confusion for the defense.
When Chad says he has opened 100% of the playbook I think he means exactly that. The players are performing everything to his standard thus he doesn't feel restrained from calling any and everything he can.

take the freakin' ball and launch a massive all-out attack, while we've got DV rocking! Keep the team, staff and Clemson crowd in the game from the get-go...and attack, attack, attack!
Make those poor, dumb Georgia b@stards have to play catch-up; make them wonder what in the fire we're going to do next; make them keel over time after time from our lightning strikes, all the while our D is pounding their O into the dirt.
Then, at the end of the day, when the dust finally settles, and Dawg fans are fleeing home with their tails tucked up their behinds, the Clemson Nation will rise as one with a resounding cheer: "ALL ABOARD THE CLEMSON EXPRESS!"
HERE WE GOOOO TIGERRRRSSS!!!!! KICK THE DAWGS A$$ES!!!!!!

I see why you would say that but I would defer and make murray face the crowd first thing. If you take the ball and something bad happens like a freak fumble the crowd loses some intensity off the bat. I would want murray feeking the full intense hostility if yalls crowd first thing.

I appreciate that but I'm not really all that pumped up. I'm looking forward to the season opener.
Check out the stalkingleghumper post. You and I know Sammy is everything Nuk is, was or ever will be. I happen to think HotRod is a better player than AE. I'm not disrespecting AE in the least. AE's jr year he couldn't catch a football on the fly. HotRod caught everything that came his way last year. HotRod ran just as hard as AE did last year and he was a year younger than AE.
Most of our starters on offense last year started because they had a better grip on the playbook.
Most folks couldn't have imagined the difference between Tajh the Soph and Tajh the Jr. I happen to believe the change between Tajh the Jr and Tajh the senior will be just as radical.
You can look for others to have a similarly radical change.

So you replace Hopkins with a lesser player. Replace Ellington with a lesser player. Replace Ford with 2 lesser players...and the difference in your offense from last year to this is going to be stunning?
So lesser players that are all on the same page equals a stunning offense. Got it.

Well, you dont typically replace very good players with those of lesser abilities and then get better as a unit. Sure it can happen. There's a lot to be said for team chemistry. Watkins is an elite player though not on the level of Hopkins. McDowell and Steckinger/Smith are definite downgrades. But hey, if you've finally got 100% of your offense down pat then look out...I guess.

We all love Nuk for his toughness and ability to make plays but in terms of a pure athlete Sammy beats him in speed, quickness and explosiveness. He's a quicker and faster Nuk so have fun with that. McDowell might not have AE's speed but he has more toughness and durability and again the RB position will have a committee.
Don't worry by the end of the night you'll find all of this out. Oh and I'd learn the name Martavis Bryant. You'll be hearing it often.

HotRod has better hands than AE and he also accelerates better than AE. He hit a hole like nobody's business though he lacks AE's top end speed.
Did you see the way he threw his body at the LB on the 4 and 16 play. The backer was blitzing, well, for a second or two he was blitzing.

but he's not faster then AE in terms of out right speed or even a burst off the LOS. That's not to say his slow just not as fast but I agree his hands are better and he actually read the hole and follows his blockers better in AE did last year.

OK, so lets say that Watkins is an upgrade. No mention of the TE position which is a big part of your offense. RB by committee is just coach speak for "we dont any one guy as good as last years guy so we'll have to share the load."
Martavis Bryant may very well have a big year. We could same the same thing about Jonathan Rumph. Even though he really hasn't done anything on the collegiate level either. All this talk about your offense being better is just hyperbole.

I didn't mention the TE because it is indeed an issue

however you'll most likely see more 4 or 5 wr sets to off set this and get more speed on the field. If we need a blocker then Smith will be in but yes we will miss Cooper and Leggett for the firs game.
Still the coaches have complete faith in McDowell and Brooks and if Chad Morris gives his approval then you can believe it's the truth. Chad does not do coach speak. If he think a player isn't playing well or that we are insufficient somewhere he will bluntly say it. So again watch out for that.
And Bryant hasn't done nothing on the collegiate level. He averaged 30 yards a catch last year for 4 or 5 tds I believe. We and that's only from 10 catches. He's going to get the ball thrown to him much more this year so again I'd learn his name.

Funny guy. You think Georgia has never played a spread team? Is there something unique about the way yall run your spread/option? I've heard it called smash mouth spread. Where's the smash? HotRod? Boyd? C'mon now. Boyd can move, but he's not a legitimate 1st option run threat like Newton was or Manziel is. Without that dominant QB running threat yall are just flooding the field with speedy receivers and playing pitch and catch.
Thats just not gonna cut it.

I bet you think your going to Pasadena too don't you? You know the routine. THUGA always pulls a couple "Georgia's" every year. Your coach has underachieved for 12 years now with other coaches in the SEC coming and going who actually won something.
Hope your Daddy takes you to the game. You'll be happy to know traffic moves nicely at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Mark Richt is 9th among active coaches in winning percentages. I think thats pretty good considering he's coached in the toughest league in football.

496 completions in 792 attempts for 6,774 yards, 64 TDs and 24 INTs. Passer efficiency rating of 155.08.
122 completions in 197 attempts for 1,279 yards, 9 TDs and 4 INTs. Passer efficiency rating of 127.48. Thats how Boyd performs against SEC defenses.
Maybe Clemson should be worried about the SEC defense thats coming.
