Don't forget about the man with three names.... Joe Don Reames. He was around the same time as Watts.

When I read this, I had just finished playing Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer to my Granddaughter. I will not bore you with a song text but I will say this. You know the words but Hunter is the most famous Receiver along with the late Great Perry Tuttle. I love them all.

And what a great one he is, such an inspirational speaker. I think Dabo had him speak to the team a few years ago.

Lost his eyesight? OMG, I didn't know this. One of our great receivers. How did this happen? So sad.

I am very glad to hear that because I thought he had passed away. Praise the Lord that this man is still with us. I have a book on my bookshelf called Clemson's 1981 Championship Season with him on the cover.

I found a couple of 2014 articles on Perry Tuttle's eyesight but nothing more recent. He was diagnosed with both glaucoma and macular degeneration. I certainly hope Perry has the type that can at least be slowed in its progression.
Besides that beautiful orange bowl catch, he stood out for some of the qualities we sometimes take for granted in our current crop of players, such as his commitment to his education. He was the first player I knew of who came back to finish up coursework while playing in the pros. I saw him around campus fairly often and remember him as a very genuine person who had a good sense of humor.

Anyone remember the late great Dwight Clark? Didn't score much for the Tigers but could catch anything thrown his way.
