in the extreme wet: DeShaun and The Train. Lots of carries and very violent tackles made on them, no fumbles. Also our return guys, esp. Tay. (almost lost one) Big key to this game was ball security.

Glad someone mentioned this specific item. IMO, our ball protection vs ND's was the most important difference in the game.
I'll go one step further- the way Venables coaches our guys to punch the ball out - the plays our guys made on D last night were game saving plays. Plus, I have to believe they practice that regularly and our offensive players get great reps on how to protect the ball.
All those reps really counted last night. Ball protection on offense late in Q4 (imagine if those 3 & outs had ended in a fumble? FSU game last year) and our D forcing fumbles at key times was the difference.
Tremendous game. Sure there's work to do but when is there not in collegiate sports. Hope Tiger Nation can be happy & grateful the Tigers came out on top.
