As someone who is a moderate liberal, I must say that you Trump supporters must be thrilled in a way with these "asylum seekers". They are pretty much guaranteeing Trump the White House again in 2020.

He sold it last time and barely won. His popularity has dropped since and his agenda was roundly rejected earlier this month by real live voters. Just based on demographics changes, he has to gain voters to win next time.

His poll numbers went up from his lows. The mid terms are not a factor to what will happen in 2020. We all hate Congress.

First of all, we don't even know who he will be running against. We do know that immigration is a major issue of support for him in this nation. It's an issue that can hurt the Dems. It hurts Hillary with Syrian refugees. Trump plays into that stuff. By the way, there is a reason Hillary just came out tougher on immigration now. She put her finger to the wind.

All of these videos on twitter and 90% of these people trying to cross are middle aged males. I see the one or two women with children, but extremely rare. And of course the one girl who got into the tear gas, but I put that on her parents.
I have zero sympathy. Zero.
Would I be trying to cross is I was in their situation, potentially, but I would know to expect the worse, which could be death or my children being detained. Comes with the territory of trying to cross a border without any kind of respect for the law.

I don't believe most of what you wrote. That said, I do know that even watching MSNBC this morning, border control agents say they are being attacked with rocks by asylum seekers waiving Honduran flags. He also said, that a solid portion of them aren't even checking in and trying to claim asylum. There are tons of mothers with kids though in the mix too. It's just bad ones in the mix are ruining the country's desire to want to let people in. It's tragic, but I get it both sides. It's a winning issue for Trump though. Moreover, there was a black lady on the panel who is frequent MSNBC contributor who was just calling people who don't want to let everyone in, N&azis and white supremacists/racists. It's crazy. The whole issue is helping Trump.

Are you calling me a liar? I don't have a link, but I watch MSNBC 5 day per week my first half of the day. It was right after Morning Joe on Stepehanie Rhule's show. The shows kind of blend together in the end. Yeah her comment was that we cant bend our immigration policies to the will of white supremacists, neo naz*s, and racists, who just don't want more brown people in this country. She is out there and missing most of America. This issue isn't about race for everyone or for most people. She helps Trump comments with like that.

It is unfortunate if anybody gets hurt or killed, but anyone who tries to cross illegally has to be aware that it may not turn out good for them. That should act as a deterrent; if not, it's on them. This applies to people who abuse the assylum process merely as a path to better economic opportunity or a better life just as much as it applies to drug smugglers, human traffickers, and terrorists. If you want to come to the U.S., you are perfectly welcome if you do it the right way, the legal way. If you don't, you are not welcome and should expect to face unpleasant consequences.

rhetoric that it wasn't a caravan, they wouldn't arrive until Christmas and they were peaceful asylum seekers as was pumped across the airwaves by the MSM everyone would have a little more confidence that Trump was much closer to the truth than the media.
You saw the film. What exactly would you call people who walk up to our border and throw rocks at the men who are charged with funneling them toward proper ports of entry to make their pleas for asylum? What is wrong with asking asylum seekers to refrain from assaulting those who represent us? How many flies does one catch with vinegar?
Obviously, these people have contempt for our laws, it looks like they could refrain from ignoring the law at least long enough to get across the border. Just what does it take for you to admit that they are behaving like undesirables?

Mexicans here don't want to see the border opened. They understand demand and supply of labor. Maybe they can't draw charts and diagrams but they understand the fundamentals. The dem party's problem is that they leaders think the Mexicans are dumb.

They may not want open borders possibly, but they want loose borders. Most Mexicans I know think the US got the Southwest in a shady business deal with a corrupt Mexican leader lining his pockets and that the Southwest isn't even rightfully the United States. I was talking to my duel citizenship great buddy from Cabo over a few beers a couple of months ago and that's what I was told. He completely supports loose borders. He was born in the US by illegal parents in San Diego. He was an anchor baby. He is 28 now, a college graduate, etc etc. Cool guy and the hardest worker I know. On a side note, his brother who I have met, was murdered in Cabo last year.

I've stated repeatedly that I want to see Mexicans vetting shortened to quicker and cheaper process for them. They don't need amnesty, the entire system works against them and the rest of us. For fear of deportation they fail to show for court.
That leaves them illegal, having broken two laws rather than one and worse they have no path to citizenship. More loosely enforced borders is not the way to make this country work for them.
Have you ever wondered what they do when they get old? Either they work until they die or become a burden on their children.
They are a continued burden on us. Each of them cost the American taxpayers about $70k. It's not fair to us to have them working here without contributing to our tax and SS systems. They use our medical services without the repercussions you or I would suffer if we didn't pay our medical bills. In essence, we pay for their medical services.
Ask your friend how that is good for anyone. Instead of lobbying for looser borders please tell your friend that most of us, even the Trump supporters and conservatives are not without compassion for his fellow Mexicans but looser borders are not the solution. We believe it is nothing more than a bandaid on a broken leg. It can only get worse and it will not heal until something is done.
Lobby your representatives to fix this instead of using it as a political ploy, yanking at people's emotions and using your friend's people like condom. Shut the border, shorten the time it takes to Mexicans to get a Visa and give them all a path to citizenship. Let them live the American dream instead of continuing in slavery and oppression.

My real point is that the Dems should realize where the nation stands and that issues like this help Trump. Trump will fail in a lot of other ways over the next two years which may offset issues like this, but we will see. Dems need to use more common sense.
