He's an A&M grad, but his roots run deep in the Austin area. He's one of the most connected coaches in the state of TX.

I think TX could do a hell of a lot worse than Chad Morris as a coach. Not sure that he's a viable candidate for AD yet, if that's what you mean.

proven big-time winner and he hasn't proven himself as a HC yet.
Their program is in shambles and it shouldn't be - with their support and money they should be a Top 5 program every year. It's got to be embarrassing to them to be in the background in Texas to schools like TCU and Baylor. They used to schedule these teams as "sure win" types of games.

I told my son after week 1, that Strong was gone as soon as they got to a point where they are comfortable buying him out. Then I thought Chad Morris would get the job. It may be another year down the road, but this sounds like a step in getting Strong out.
