Anyone remember when FCS games were risky?

Had to have a winning record with no more than one FCS win included, and it seems like you could have only one per two seasons.
Glad that’s no longer one of our chief concerns. But we should get credit for scheduling one of the tougher FCS teams in GSU. Haven’t they won some championships lately?

Georgia Southern beat Florida in 2013. Ol' Moosechump remembers that one well.

And they fill up used milk jugs full of sewage to take to away games while riding in elementary school buses. So no, we don't get any credit for playing them.

I remember a time when I was glad we didn’t have Furman on the schedule. Georgia Southern woulda given 95% of the 1A programs all they wanted and then some back in their heydays.
