Anyone else here with health issues, whose pain & suffering

Jan 2, 2020, 12:42 PM

has been eased by Clemson's success on the football field. I know for myself, the last decade has been like a dream, despite having many days where I feel like crap physically, I get such a adrenaline jolt when we win, sorry when you follow every down of every game with full attention, watching all the 2nd & 3rd teamers to see what they do, I get real geeky about it, getting the new media guide each year & knowing all the stats. I have been spending Saturday's in the fall living & dying with Clemson football, the Woody Hayes game was the moment where Clemson became my team & my team has given me so much, regardless how much time I have left.

P.S. anyone I have had a beef with, who really are Clemson fans, nothing personal & really why are we even fighting or disrespecting each other, when Clemson has become the school that everyone else loves to hate? Anyway God bless everyone, now let's go back to back!

Two things, brother

1. You don't have to be physically ailing for this team to have improved the quality of your life. I am reasonably healthy (knock on wood) and they have brought significant extra joy into my life.

2. Sometimes brothers argue. Hello, my brother and I have had some real knock down and dragged out arguments over the years, but I know if I found myself in the deep shyte tomorrow, I could call on him and he would put himself fully on the line to help me deal with it. So a little back and forth between the brothers on this site is nothing to get too worried about. We all know what's important when it comes down to crunch time.

Geaux Clemson !!

Re: Right there with you my friend.

Jan 2, 2020, 1:10 PM

As you can see, I joined this site in January 2001. That was 6 months after my diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. At the time I was in constant pain and not mobile at all so I spent a lot of time just browsing Tigernet.

Now I am on a miracle drug that has helped me to regain mobility, although I still suffer from nerve damage and have chronic fatigue and I guess the best way to say it is it feels like pins and needles in my arms, legs and face. All the time. I will say that people who don't know what it feels like think you are just fine but it is a constant struggle just to appear ok.

I was dating a woman from Central in 2003 and I went to her church in Seneca. One Sunday I ran into Dabo along with Chansi Stuckey and Freshman wide receiver Kelvin Grant. I told Dabo that I hoped if Tommy ever left Clemson that he would become the head coach.I remember that like it was yesterday.

So yes, the Tigers have given me something to look forward to and have helped me through some very difficult times. I was there chanting Dabo in 2008 and it is unreal to think what has transpired since. Win or Lose on the 13th, I am forever thankful and grateful to the Tigers that have come through Death Valley. Now let's show those Tiguhs who owns the real Death Valley.

Oh yeah, and I was just as happy.
