We need to beat Wake this weekend just like we did in 1981.

Danny played everybody that day - we could have scored 100 if he had allowed it.

I think you could still give 95 scholarships in 1981

and I'm not sure there was a limit on the number of non scholarship players like we have now.

By the fourth quarter, Jim Phillips and his color commentator were no longer able to immediately name every player in the game for Clemson including a running back who scored a touchdown. I believe they had to go to a radio commercial and tell everyone his name when they came back on air.

was something to see. Wake looked like a Class A high school team that day.

The best thing about that game came at the end when the mascot came over and tapped our mascot on the shoulder and proceeded to do the last set of pushups for him. The tiger was exhausted. He then allowed himself to be crowd surfed up the stands. Class act and pretty cool!
