Tennessee won the national title at 13-0

Clemson finished 3-8

H3ll, in 2010 we finished the season 6-7 (and a loss to South Florida in the Car Care Bowl).. In the 8 years since, we've finished #1 in the ACC 5 times, 4 playoff appearances, 3 National Championship games and 2 National Championship winners..

We've come a long way, baby!

Always thought it was weird Tennessee won the NC

the year after Peyton Manning left after coming
back for his senior season to win the Heisman and
the NC even though he was the projected top pick
after his junior season, only to finish 11-2 and
runner up for the Heisman. Of course, they won
it with Amari's dad, Tee Martin at QB.

It was kind of like when Virginia went to the
Final Four the year after Ralph Sampson left,
having stayed for his senior year to win the NC
only to make the elite 8 and watch NC State win
it instead.

they did have a lot of luck that year

Arkansas QB made one of the dumbest fumbles ever in the SEC title game with the lead late.

Kansas State choked like crazy vs Texas A&M in the big 12 title game. They were probably the best team in 1998.

Then in the national title game FSU had to play their backup QB vs Tennessee

That's what makes this years Clemson team doubly special.

The Power Rangers came back to win the Natty, but they knew it would be an uphill battle, with all the hype. They knew we would get everyone's best shot, all season long. And, yet, they still got it done, with an exclamation point at the end. Once again, SALUTE!
