Quarantine eating habits.

Apr 23, 2020, 11:34 AM

Not being on the road has helped me a ton. Holding weight and not having to worry about huge lunches followed by huge dinners. We have been eating sensibly and we only do pizza on Friday. Take out here and there, but it’s actually in most cases healthy take out.

I am drinking, more, but it’s odd. 4-5 days a week it’s like a drink about 4, but done around 8 and only have a few. Not like a bar binge from 9-1am or something. Now there have been 4/5 days I have stayed up late on weekends like the last one and acted a fool. But mainly kept it together.

Anyway, how are the rest of ya fairings’ these days.

Learning to cook some new stuff...

Apr 23, 2020, 11:37 AM

and digging it. I have more time minus the commute. THe new ingredients are offsetting the fact that I don't eat fast food breakfast and lunch on the cost side, but hopefully I'm eating healthier. Drinking is all over the place. Usually have a couple, sometimes slip into more and regret it the next morning.

Breakfast is healthier

Lunch is healthier

Dinner is avg.

But wife of got strawberries and made a cobbler. They made me eat most of it. I think she is making brownies today. And I like coke and my coke habit is getting worse.

We are trying to eat local 2-3 times a week instead of 1 time a week. Sushi take out Sat, Chick-fila yesterday, Pizza Tomorrow night.

I've lost 3 pounds according to my bathroom scale

I eat better (way more fruit and veggies instead of fast food lunches), but I eat MORE being at home because I am around it all the time.

So pretty much a wash for me. I'm not applying myself at all though.

I eat better, but I'm not getting as much exercise

Apr 23, 2020, 12:17 PM

The baby has made that almost impossible, my free time is from like 10:00pm-whenever I go to bed now. I usually walk a lot for work, that's not happening now. Then I went on what felt like a 2 week bender where I never really got drunk, but consumed a shitton of beer, wine, and mimosa's.

It's been a pretty ###### up year for me...way too much change, but I've been sober for about 2 days now and think I'm regaining some clarity. Helps that there are some signs of life at work.

Ran out of beer, switched to liquor.

Apr 23, 2020, 12:20 PM

Doing okay, still trying to help local restaurants though so ordering take-out or DoorDash/UberEats/GrubHub.

Got a new induction stovetop and oven, so we've been cooking on it.

That said, I'm pigging out of dim sum tonight.

My soda consumption is somewhat down, but not

eliminated. Sweet tea consumption is up but I only put 1/4 cup of sugar per gallon. I think these two things come out to a net positive for me.

The Friday night dinner out has gone by the wayside, replaced by something quick at home or leftovers.

Down to 205. MUCH easier to lose weight when we're all

Apr 23, 2020, 12:38 PM

home and eating from home. Restaurants and fast food make you fat. We're eating much healthier.

Drinking is a whole other thing though. Other than the calories, I also tend to get hawngry when drunk.

A lot of the stuff we cook at home isn't

Apr 23, 2020, 1:00 PM

real easy to portion control. I think this often ends up in me taking in more calories when eating at home.

badge-donor-05yr.jpgringofhonor-aero.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up
