Prayer and help request for a fine, young man:

A very dear friend of mine died the other day leaving two sons, the youngest of whom just turned 17 and who is a rising senior at BC High in West Columbia. He is determined to complete his senior year at BC by living alone in his Mother's home. He is a decent, fine, unassuming fellow and will have very limited means. I've known him most of his life and admire his resolve. If you are interested and/or are capable, there is a fund established for him: Jake Jacobs c/o lst Citizens Bank. I know he would be deeply grateful for your prayers or assistance.

brother, who is somewhat older, lives out of Columbia and is unable to care for him. Apparently, there is no other family member nearby to help, including his Dad.

Prayers from one TIGER for another. Been down this same road myself, and on my own since 16. Times were hard at times, but honestly helped make me the person I am today. Hopefully this young mans resolve and determination will carry him through and he will be a better person. God has a plan and a reason for all, even if we don't always know or understand why things happen as they do. But no matter what GOD IS GREAT!!!!!!!

Epworth Children's Home in Columbia is awesome. I don't know if he would consider that as an alternative or not. Prayers sent.

Hartins, I certainly have prayed for this young man and that is the best way to get him help, but I live in the Lexington/Red Bank area and can certainly lend some assistance from time to time!
Let me know of any specific needs and I have a great Sunday School Class that can also help!
