Play calling...

Oct 16, 2016, 10:39 AM

Obviously turnovers killed us I get that. But Deshaun also got us out of quite a few 3rd and longs. Seems like we were always playing behind chains after crappy 1st down calls. Think Elliot is having a bit of a sophomore slump or DCs are figuring his tendacies out? Without Deshauns arm yesterday were not keeping the ball on those long drives. He threw into some incredibly tight windows and receivers made some great catches. With the talent we have on offense, we're really the only ones that can stop us.

Let's quit the turnovers and get less predictable with our play calling...

Our dual OC's are in a slump and don't seem to understand that are opponents have reacted to the calls we continually make. Time for them to changer it up. Don't forget, there two are very young and lack a lot of experience as OC.s This is NOT a negative post on them but aREALISTIC one. They need to to be more willing to change. We may make the p;layoffs but we will lose possibly in the first game with the current play calling.

I really like Elliot and Scott a lot. However, our play calling has become very predictable. That's the problem. What happened to the offense that Morris brought to Clemson?

it has all but disappeared and we have devolved back into

the Napieresque habit of not running an actual offense, just running a bunch of plays instead

It's like every first down is a running play straight into traffic. We know it's coming, they know it's coming. WHY are we still doing the same thing everytime!!

I'd settle for just eliminating the turnovers, and ...

... and be satisfied with producing 500 yards of total offense.
