Passing of Dr. Louis Henry

Learned today that Dr. Louis Henry, Professor Emeritus of the English Department, passed away over the weekend. Dr. Henry had an enormous influence on so many lives at Clemson and was an ardent follower of Tiger sports, especially baseball. Please keep his family and many friends in your thoughts and prayers.

He was one of my 2 favorite professors.

took Advanced Composition from him my senior year (made an A only because he was a good professor) - he also taught us how to conduct ourselves on job interviews and as adults when we graduated - things like that - cared about his students.

He was definitely one of my favorites.

Thank you for letting his friends and former students know. He was a very special professor. I even sent him a copy of a book I authored because I knew he would never have believed it otherwise.

God bless his family and friends. We will miss him.
