Pass Interference

the PIs were out of control vs FSU Saturday. And the thing is I don't remember a truly bad call against us in that realm, each one was borderline. Even on no calls I was holding my breath for a good 5 seconds after each incompletion before relaxing. It seemed like every on our defense was grabbing and straddling that line much more than usual. What was up with that?

AGGRESSIVE ! Might just be the reason Cook dropped the ball,looking to see who'd hit him.

I think it was probably more that he was a RB trying to make

a catch 30+ yards down field. Not all of them can do that.

There was a call on Carter early on that was clearly an offensive PI not defensive PI.

There was another on Fields that I thought was a terrible call too.

We did have a bunch of legit PI calls on Fields and Tank though. I think our aggressive style coupled with a lack of ball awareness caused these.

I will say, sometimes its better to get a PI then a TD with it ust being a 15 yard penalty

Don't mind the aggressive style of our DB's. It's how LSU's DB's are coached.

Just wish they'd turn and look for the ball more. little better ball awareness, that's all

I think Tankersly had one of the worst games I have ever seen from him. He seemed out of position and completely off most of the night. He's an awesome CB so hopefully he can shake it off and get things corrected during practice this week.

I also thought Tank had a tough night. He was grabbing receivers all night long. He seemed to have a hand full of jersey or an arm wrapped around the back of his man on most passes that came his way. They may be taught to cover like this, but with the wrong ref, it could make for lots of PI calls.
