Pass D starts up front

Nov 25, 2018, 7:39 AM

Yes the backend had blown coverages but our front got absolutely no push in the game. Baby Bentley had a lot of time to find guys running down the field.

Offense played lights out

No push? Seriously?

Bentley didn't really have all day usually. He had some time, but not that long. He was getting rid all fairly quickly to wide open WR's in blown coverage right up he middle. Those were quick plays. Usually our DL was right on top of him just after he hit the wide open WR up the middle. How fast do you think it takes Deebo Samuel to sprint 15 to 20 yards uncovered? Bentley hit him quickly. That's how long our DL had to get to Bentley. Only one bad play by our DL all night imo was the one where the Coot running back got the edge on XT. I think our DL was relatively fine overall. It wasn't our front 4 that were the issue.
