I was thinking it would have been nice to have him back this year... best of luck to him, but hated seeing him leave.
Don’t keep up with or follow the teams out west; is he having a good year?

He had foot surgery during the summer to repair a fracture. I don't think he even dressed for the first few games. He's just getting back into the grove of things. I suspect we'll see him play more and have a lot more stats in the back half of the season.

Speaking of Pagano, Chris Ard from TI has stated multiple times that Pagano would be the 5th DT on the team this year at best behind Huggins and Pinckney. Wouldn’t go into details but he seemed to hint that was the reason Pagano looked elsewhere. Basically insinuating that Clemson had just out recruited at his position and the young talent was taking over

Well given how he has played this year it's probably pretty accurate. At best he would be the 3rd DT behind Lawrence and Wilkins.

I agree with you given the results this year but so think that's attributed to the off-season surgery he had. Pagans was an incredible run stuffer on a national title team last year and played significantly more snaps than than Huggins, Robinson and Pinckney combined last year. I sure would have liked to seen him lined up during that final Syracuse drive a couple weeks ago.

He's battling back from a foot surgery.
There is no doubt we would be better on the Defensive line if he had stayed with us. However, even with that, I don't know we would have saw much of him until late in the year.

I'm with you on this. Does anyone honestly believe he wouldn't be a valuable asset if he were still here.

I do. Having him sub in for 15-20 plays goes a long way in giving Wilkins and Dex a rest. We could use a little more depth

That was his strong suit.
With that in mind, it’s concievable that the younger, more versatile DL may have seen more snaps.
Still, not a sure thing and it appears that Scott would have been better off staying at Clemson.

I agree ... he would have logged a lot of snaps. Especially on short yardage situations. I think he thought he should start. And he thought his chances were better elsewhere.

If healthy, Pagano would be the top reserve and according to Venables, he would have probably started several games. Pinckney and Huggins have improved, but both have a ways to go!
