I would agree with you except that Clemson has not had a long history of a communications department to produce one of our own. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that program.

This is a move to hire someone....anyone.... To help utilize new forms of media like twitter, etc. I think it may also be a preparatory move to help position us well when/if the conference makes a serious move toward a network.
