I think that's more insane than voting in a church. Where would you guys prefer it be held? Where my parents live, it's either the Dollar General or a church.

Oh yeah, can't imagine why people wouldn't want to vote at an islamic center, not like that religion is causing global problems or anything. Yeah, yeah, I know but but christianity is soooo bad too.

election board or whatever its called in your area?
Most of them are run by volunteers and the lowest of the low on the respective parties' totem poles. These are thankless jobs and finding facilities of sufficient size (for free) in which to hold an election is not easy. If it bothers you so much go join your local board and advocate to move it to a secular location.

You walk in said building, vote and leave. How is that hurting you? How are you offended?
Shouldnt you be happy that the State/County isnt having to pay for lighting the building and using the heat? At least the congregation of that church is subsidizing that part...right? Maybe the Election Board pays the bill, but still. Who really cares? More importantly why do you want to be a victim? Did mommy not love you enough?

60,000 now can in VA due to electronic pen in the Governor's hand. In a state where the race was decided by 18,000 votes last cycle. Classic Democrat tactics.

You have to stand in the hallway where you see things you shouldn't have to look at while voting. Then you actually cast your ballot in a "holy place" while looking at a historically inaccurate picture of a Arab Jew.
It should be held in public buildings, like community centers and schools. I can't imagine the uproar here in GA if they polled people in mosque or temple. Oh lawd. (I would be just as angry)

Churches are widely accepted as Community Centers, places for people to gather, even if not a believer.
But I know you are a person always looking to be offended and a troll, so this post isn't surprising.

I did. A Unitarian one, though. It didn't bother me at all, honestly, especially since it was a 5-minute walk from my apartment.
Voted bright and early, so I got to enjoy the sunrise as I waited in line. Didn't have to stare at Jesus, white or otherwise.

Never saw a cross, the word God written other than on the street sign. Only people who attacked me were people pandering for me to vote for candidates. It could have been anywhere. I've voted in high schools, fire stations, and churches. None bothered me at all. It was pretty cool in the fire station though because you could sit on the fire truck part of the time while in line.
