My problem with ND even being considered in the CFP

They will not have to play in a conference championship game. At some point, the committee needs to make that clear since it is unfair that the other teams have to play that extra game. Bama and UGA could both be undefeated and deserving of the CFP, but one MUST lose. The committee will probably stick ND in there instead of the loser of the SECCG. The same could happen to Miami if they go undefeated in the regular season and lose the ACCCG. I don't see how that is fair to teams that are undefeated in the reg season.
Anyway, ND lost to UGA, but could possibly get into the CFP over an undefeated UGA that loses to Bama. That is wrong on so many levels.
Also, the ESPN guy that places ND over CLEMSON indicated that ND's loss to UGA is a better loss than the SU loss that CLEMSON has. Not sure I disagree, but ND should NOT be included into any CFP discussion.

Right. Exactly. Agreed. They should be OUT by default.
Join a conference and you can try to win a CFP, ND.

I think ND seems like a lock if they win out, but I agree.

I have no problem with 11-1 ND getting in over 1 loss loser

of the SEC CCG. CCG losers should be virtually eliminated except in the unusual event of there being no other one loss conference champs. A one loss CCG loser should NEVER get in over a one loss conference winner!

It would be ridiculous for 1-loss ND to supplant 1-loss UGA in the CFP. I think that scenario would put all 3 in (BAMA, UGA, ND) with CLEM at #4 over OKLA, who were hurt by OSU today. Only fly in the ointment would be undefeated big10 champ WISC, but their SOS is embarrassing and the conference is weak

Well UGA won't be undefeated if they lose to Bama...

ND has been playing good, they ain't getting favortism yet. And I think right now ND is playing better than UGA. UGA still needs to learn the concept of the forward pass. Luckily for UGA they play in the SEC Least

UGA beat ND at their house. Good reason as any IMO.

So I'm sure Notre Dame can as well, as long as they have the SOS.
I agree that it is an unfair advantage, but I think that if Notre Dame wins out, they will likely deserve to be in on their SOS alone.
I think it would end up looking something like this, assuming all 4 win out and Bama beats UGA in the SECCG:
1) Alabama 2) Georgia 3) Clemson 4) Notre Dame
It's a tough call for #2 and #3 because Clemson will have a bad loss, and Georgia will have lost only to Bama, but Georgia also won't have a Conference Championship, which the committee weighs highly. But UGA would have slight edge over Clemson on SOS, I assume.
