Offense struggled yes but.............

Oct 14, 2017, 9:43 AM

Kelly Bryant was obviously not 100% and after a couple of series he probably should have come out but at the end of the day, the offense scored 17 pts and put us in a position to score 23 if we had a decent FG kicker. That should have been enough to win ASSUMING we were an elite Defense which we were not last night. We gave up 27 pts and well over 400 yds offense and if we are honest with ourselves, it could have been worse except for some offensive PI penalties.

Is Cooper going to win any big games? Based on what we have seen, no, but we are who we are now. DW4 and his crew are gone and the realization of that might finally start to sink in. Renfrow is the man but none of the other receivers, especially Deon Cain have really stepped their game up. We need Bryant to get healthy but he's not a pocket passer so to be effective he will have to go back to the RPOs which increases his chances of getting hurt again, thus the dilemma.

Simply put, the deficiences that were always there are now exposed and we will have to deal with them and see if anybody steps up as a leader which honestly we dont have right now.
