Tnet has already made it clear that our coaching staff doesn't recruit on the OL, and the ones we do recruit all suck.
So either tnet is wrong, or the coaching staff finally wised up and started consulting tnet prior to handing out offers. My money is on the latter.

some haven't panned out yet.
we'll have to be heavy in the next two classes. it would be nice if we could do what you suggest and not have to rely on back to back relatively huge takes.
well, that's the concern anyway.

& according to others, we don't coach them well enough.
I say we get some power forwards from the outback & make them tight ends.

won't be a real factor until 2016. And if they are good, they will go pro 2 years later. And then there are injuries. The O line needs to be reloaded every year. We aren't there yet.

if they are absolutely fantastic. Going back several drafts, there are like ~5 early entrant O-lineman drafted a year. Considering there are 5 starters on every team in CFB, that's not many.

According to Rivals, for 2014 we offered NINE Top OL

but signed none. So you may have a point about our inability to actually sign them, but it is a false assumption that we don't try to get the most highly rated ones each and every year. We go after them, but so does everybody else.
2014 OL 4/5-star Offer List Damien Prince of Forestville, MD (undecided) Mason Cole of Tarpon Springs, FL (Michigan) Trevor Darling of Miami, FL (Miami) Bentley Spain of Charlotte, NC (UNC) Reilly Gibbons of St. Petersburg, FL (Miami) David Sharpe of Jacksonville, FL (Florida) Nolan Kelleher of Mt. Pleasant, SC (Florida) Sam Mustipher of Onley, MD (Notre Dame) Donnell Stanley of Latta, SC (SCAR)

think most of the people posting on here understand how few 4*+ OL there are each year, especially ones in our area that we have a legit shot at signing.

If we haven't signed the 12 top linemen in this recruiting cycle Dabo should be fired. Who give a chit about having the best dual threat QB on campus if he's working in our antiquated and obsolete S&C program under the direction of our mummified staff?
