I actually believe that they were coached to do it knowing that Mond would have gotten sacked a lot more if they didn't. I think that they got away with it because they didn't try to pull the defender down...until the failed 2 point conversion. All that being said, that was good coaching!

It’s not holding unless you try to tackle the defender? Clutch, grab, wrap up, just don’t tackle? Thanks man, I missed that as being one of the rule changes for this season. I guess it’s just another way to keep QBs from getting hurt.

I know that it was still illegal, it was just harder to DETECT since the DL's were not pulled down, and it was more difficult for the refs. to see because it was "sandwiched" between two big men.
