Dabo has said he loves it here @ Clemson and as long as the president and AD is behind him he would not leave and he has one more son playing @ Daniel HS.

No! Kids on team, one more son, happy where he is! If he leaves, it will be after next year when college becomes paid players, but if we go into the summer of 21 with no Covid concerns, normal recruiting, life is semi normal, Dabo has 2 sons playing and maybe a younger coming. Dabo is in Clemson as long as we would like until things go crazy and at that point he considers NFL.

Ok- if we are all going to dream, lets dream big-
Dabo- takes over the Carolina Panthers- with full control and brings back all of the past stars from Clemson and wins the Super Bowl in his first season.

Dallas Cowboys or bust. I wouldn't pull for the Panthers regardless of who the Head Coach was.

Is even though I haven’t watched the NFL in about 12 years....Good Lord No! Anywhere but working for JJ. I’d also put Snyder in that group too! Heck, just stay away from the NFC least.

Nope - he and Brent are both going to NY City. Dabo coaching the Giants and getting the Wayne train back on track and Coach V rebuilding the Jets. They will still be coaching home games in the same stadium and Dabo eventually takes over running the league from that boob Goodell.

Dabo's influence/control, it would seem to me, is dwindling almost daily(social media bans lifted by the players, helmet stickers, making jerseys and figuring out appropriate phrases, players to be paid soon/effects on recruiting, ease of transfer rule changes ie. Bowman). I think his ability to control various aspects of his program will continue to decrease and maybe rapidly. With Jack Easterby and Deshaun in charge at the Texans, how could he not listen? I absolutely think he takes a very serious look if they have an interest.

Three options for Dabo
1. Clemson 2. Another college 3. Retirement (from FB but somewhere working with youth)

Dabo is way too smart for that.,,
Bill O’Brien as GM has crippled the Texans for years to come with his boneheaded decisions...
Deshaun absolutely deserves the contract he got but B O B left him with no supporting cast ...

Have you been to Houston? North to South, it’s 100 miles of strip malls. It’s so humid in Houston, a tea kettle can’t live there. Flooding? How about the highway is 15ft underwater? Traffic? Houston makes Atlanta look like rush hour in Fuquay Varina. Sorry, but Houston makes my short list of places not to live.

If Dabo said he would get out of coaching if college players started getting paid why in the world would he want to go to the NFL to coach a bunch of whiny self centered players. Where he has cap space, contracts and all that crap to deal with. I mean why would jump right to to the fire.
If anything since he probably has himself, Kathleen, and his kids set up financially for life, I could see him go to a HS as HC where there is a little less political.

He would have to change his coaching style, could you imagine him telling a star player that the backups and practice squad guys need in game reps too.

Listen to me Dabo,
Do not come to this dysfunctional mess of an organization. It's guaranteed to fail. Bob McNair was a worthy man who brought the NFL back to Houston. Unfortunately, his son Cal is a complete joke who is in way over his head. There is a reason he is known as the Invisible Man.
Stay at Clemson. Win 3-4 more championships and call it a career.
Yours Truly,
Clemson fan in Houston (we are an endangered species)
P.S: DW4 will be fine. Regardless of what happens on the field, he is a great young man that cares about people and will make a difference in this world.

I might be completely wrong, but I just don't think Dabo

suffers from that "Got to prove myself in the NFL" gene. He is a builder of men, not a babysitter of spoiled millionaire prima donnas.
Plus, he can look at Saban and Spurrier as cautionary tales, that what works well in college certainly does NOT necessarily transfer to the pros.
The talent at big time college football schools is light years ahead of high school. The talent in the NFL is an even bigger quantum leap from college. I can't really see Dabo wanting to start all over at that level, unless we do something stupid to make him want to leave. Even in that case, I would see him taking another college job instead of going to the NFL.

Idle Speculation ... maybe

Why not jump in? My uninformed take is, as a family and Bama/ Clemson man, Coach Swinney will bound himself to the SE region of the country if he decides to leave Clemson and consider an NFL HC job. I can see him keeping his home on Lake Keowee and taking the Atlanta, Carolina, Jacksonville or Dallas job with Jerri World being too big to turn down.

Dabo already has one foot on the pedestal next to Frank Howard. Within 10 years, they'll be standing next to each other on top. In 20 years Howard may have to take a step down to the second tier, between Dabo and Danny. Who woulda ever thunk something like that would even be possible. This is over-simplistic, but if I'm Dabo my choices are: 1. coach for life with probably a Nick Saban like career, 4-6 national championships, or 2. go to the nfl and get fired in a few years

Yep seems like a huge mistake if he were to go to the NFL. Why do these speculations get started? Seriously, why do people do this?
