How much will this rain reduce crowd noise?

I'm a little depressed by the forecast. I'm a senior and was looking forward to this game. Now I'm a little bummed out because I don't think the atmosphere will be the same with this rain.

If you are soaking wet anyway, might as well scream.

Won't make a bit of a difference. This game is huge.

No way. Based on my formula-there's 4 quarts to a gallon, 12" in a foot, my thumb is 3"(because it's always been 3") and my left hand is facing west- so the correct answer is, is, is...... shoot what was I just talking about.

Hell all my friends are seniors as well and we don't care what the weather is like. We're gonna be there, going nuts. If it monsoons, great! Just makes it that more memorable for us to share together. I don't care what's going on around me, all I care about is standing on that hill cheering on my team

Believe it or not, humidity....

...actually assists sound wave transmission through air. Dry air sucks the acoustic power way down. So a wet humid night will sound LOUDER than a dry crisp Fall afternoon.
I'm a sound man, it's what I do.

Can't remember but it was at night, humidity levels are naturally higher then.

Likely around 80% noise reduction. Would eliminate home field advantage. Might as well play it

Whatever year that home game was against Ga Wreck this Sat looks like a sprinkle.
I sat near the wall lower bowl and the front row drains couldn't keep up with the runoff. My buddy showed off standing knee high in it lol

I was a freshman when we played FSU on National TV in 1988 (punt rooskie game), we were on the hill 2hrs before the game, the hill was soaked and muddy from the downpour that had been going on all morning and went on and off during the game...it didn't change the noise, the size of the crowd, or the atmosphere. I am sadly not able to make it Saturday (hoping to be back for FSU) but I SERIOUSLY HOPE you all hold true to tradition and bring the fire to the stadium. The nation will be watching, it's our time rain or shine.

No wait, the actual formula to use to measure noise reduction for this game is based on the magnetism of the earth and the arc of the sun.
