New Blood

May 31, 2013, 11:41 PM

Tigers disappoint again on the diamond. It's time for Jack to go. Same old, same old. And in Columbia, no less, which is even more embarrassing.

I think it will come down (as always) to what the big money donors want. I am also ready for a change and feel he needs to be put out to pasture in a gentlemanly manner. Something has to be done.....that much is obvious. I'd like to see Corbin come back and restore the integrity of Clemson Baseball. But these decisions aren't made by fans on message boards. It should make for an interesting debate. My hunch is that Jack will be our coach next yr....and we'll continue to wallow in mediocrity. This pi$$es me off to no end....we wouldn't accept it in football....why baseball?

Football generates more money, so my guess is the BOT focuses their energy on what keeps them in the luxury boxes.

While they are sipping wine & eating cheese, the rest of Tiger nation drinks PBR, eats fried chicken and complains on Tigernet whenever the athletic teams lose.

To the 1%

Cheers!

you forget we stayed with bowden way too long

Jun 1, 2013, 12:20 AM [ in reply to Re: New Blood ]

every yr we heard, no recruits are coming, team is getting better and each yr was the same.

finally after 10 yrs somebody woke up and realized we weren't winning anymore and pushed TB out the door.

but it took 3-4 yrs of avg/bad foodtball. JL needs to be pushed too or we'll continue to be avg at best 4-7 in the ACC and 2nd-3rd in the state.

Bowden's saving grace was beating the chickens....

Jack doesn't have that luxury....

I think Clemson's baseball program has been consistently good in recent years.

If they want to take the program to the next level, they will need to find a way to improve recruiting IMO.

I suggest ignoring NCAA rules & regulations. It got South Carolina 2 National Championships...

We seem to know too well how to get in the loser's bracket from the get go. Though not much of a baseball fan, I love Clemson, and I was hoping for a much better showing.
