Missed facemask?

This may have already been covered, but in the second quarter, Quarles obviously face masked Boyd on a sack. Norton was called for a hold though, and nothing was called on Quarles. It was a blatant face mask where Boyd's helmet was completely twisted around to the side. Was this just a missed call by the refs, or is there a rule that gives the defender a pass if he is held?

Yes it was. Even Quarles was trying to plead his case until they refs called holding. He was trying to say that he had Tajh by the side of the helmet, which is still a penalty.

One of many missed calls. I think the refs view was blocked by the players involved in the holding.
