Josh Belk has (barely) played in 4 games this season

thanks to the snaps he got in the Akron game, and if he plays in the.. umm, Belk Bowl, that'll be 5. In other words, the redshirt they would've been able to use on him will be burned. Isn't that just as bad as what Auburn did with Asa Martin?

A lot of players would rather not redshirt. If Belk was all about redshirting, I think the coaches would've been for it.
The reality is, a lot of coaches think 4 years is the shelf life of a lot of guys. If the can't produce in 4 then they're not going to produce in year 5 anyway.
You have to have special guys to be bought in for a 5 year deal.

Sorry 404 but you use the word play loosely. The only time I saw him in a game was at Clemson and the Tiger O Line was pushing backwards like a fat blocking sled. Even ETN pushed him 5 yards deep into the end zone. The coots should burn him this year to get him out of there sooner.
