Marcus Edmonds Needs To Be Back!

I like all the players CU has brought in. But, I don't think M. Fields is an outside CB. More like a nickel. Edmonds is a solid 6'0 to 6'1 dude who w/o him CU does not get in position to be National Champs! Not the strongest dude or most impressive to look at; but he just " makes plays "! Tigers need his production on the other side of T. Mullen b/c so far he has shut it down on his side.

I think we have more depth in the back. We are already down one tight end. Wishing D.J. a speedy recovery.

I am sure glad that you don't coach----Fields is one of the highest rated corners that we have signed lately and has all the tools( or so the coaches say). I love Edmunds and want him to return as quickly as possible and I will put my trust in the coaches to put the right one out there. By the way Edmunds is 5'9".

Ahhh, did you watch the game? Have you been watching the games or just the highlights? " It don't mean a hill of beans about a rating " it's about who does and does not make plays. Again, not putting anybody down to be clear. I just think Edmund is a better cover guy on the outside. You do know there are intricate differences right?

Fields was playing WAY soft giving too much buffer in my opinion. It left the receivers open a lot . At least that is what I saw in the Louisville game. Maybe that was on purpose ?

Thanks Apex! Not trying to split hairs here. But, the subtle differences between playing DB on the outside and inside not so subtle. Look again at some of the plays so far teams have been able to make in the passing game. Great players will get open; and you will give up plays b/c of it. But, when they target you b/c of your stature/coverage ability it's a problem. I think Edmund was slated to start if not for injury. Plus, the NFL is starving for good Nickel CB! Fields is physical enough and better in tight spaces i.m.o. Will make his hay at the next level there at any rate. No complaints either way; just think he could help us there. But, not on the terrific staff we have. Just a fan on a message board of course. Just my opinion.

Hang in there DJ.

DJ has been working hard with the team for years. Hoping that he will return sooner than later and get some of well deserved catches and touchdowns!
Two years ago, DJ was gracious with his time when my friend brought his handicapped son to the stadium on weekday afternoon and DJ took time to show them all around the stadium facilities.
DJ is a great representative of Clemson Football and Daniel High School. He needs more good fortune to come his way.

One injury is too many, but it happens in CF. Against BC, getting healthy is more important than playing less that 100%, imo. Get welI Tigers, we need you.
