It's only a done deal if Korncoot says it is...

Men at 25 play football. Men at 40 play tennis. Men at 60 play golf. Have you noticed as men get older their balls get smaller.

Has Kornblutt given it his stamp of approval???

The hiring isn't done until the fat coot reporter sings!

That would be perfect. He has no idea how to stop good hunh spread teams. And if he can't stop em with bama's 5 stars, well what's he gonna do with the coot's 3 stars? Go ahead Tanner, hire him. Sounds like a perfect choice.

Yeah, has he always been a "yes" man? Good hire for us, I mean, for them.

I'm sure, just like they had Hermon all but signed yesterday

Nov 25, 2015, 5:14 PM

and now Kirby is the man. They want a coach but I'm not there are any coaches that really want them. Who would want to inherit that dumpster fire.

how many done deals they got***

Could be good for Clemson's chances at a National Championship if they do hire him. It couldn't be good for Alabama to lose their DC.

Like him or don't like him

Kirby Smart is a Broyles award winner and has been the DC on 3 Consensus Natl. Championship teams.
He aint no light weight. I get the whole orange colored glasses, no matter who they hire they suck, sort of fan loyalty thing. But Kirby Smart is one of the best DC's in college football. How he does as a HC who knows, if we're lucky he falls into the Muschamp mold.

I pull for the Taliban if they play Alabama, can't stand those bastiges... but Smart is a good coach.

Personally I pray to the Oculus that they hire Kevin Steele. ;)

That remains to be seen. Even Kevin Steele can field a great defense with great players just look at what he done here in 2009 and 2010. Let's see what Smart can do when the cupboard is dry.

Don't kid yourself...

Nick Saban controls that defense.

I think Smart would use it as a stepping stone to be just good enough to get a call from Bama when Nick calls it a career. I don't see USuC as a destination job, and that isn't because of Clemson.

They're competing with LSU, Bama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Auburn, and now Texas A&M's of the world. Just like the Mississippi schools, it's a "win 9 games and you're a legend" type of program that offers nothing the major programs can.
