You guys ever watch your "wife" try to put together

cheap-ass style Ikea furniture, and almost lose your mind at how they make the simplest of steps complicated and cumbersome?
I sat there for 5 minutes while "she" tried to get a screw inserted into a pre-drilled hole by using the Allen wrench rather than just starting by hand. Either the screw fell out or missed the hole, or the Allen wrench angled the wrong way at least 4 times before she got it to work.

See, I am good with the mechanics of assembling something. My weakness is deciphering the crap instructions. Wife excels at taking the screwed up instructions and translating them. But she doesn't know a phillips from a flathead. So between each of our strengths, we can put together ###### near anything.

tried to put together a bathroom cabinet thingy because I wouldn't do it for her in a timely fashion.
By God, they did it. They were so proud of themselves, because they "had" to get a drill and drill new pilot holes and do all sorts of complicated steps...
Well that threw up a red flag for me.
Yep, it took me about 1/2 a second to see what they did. They had the two side panels flip-flopped, so the screw holes didn't line up, so they drilled new ones.
Then, when they installed the doors, the doors had to be installed upside down.
This caused the door knobs to be uncomfortably low. Not that you would notice it, but once you realized this thing was built wrong, it was painfully obvious.
So yea, it thoroughly whooped their butts. Funny stuff.
