That's a great way to get tickets if you have friends that decide to go with you at the last minute. I have gotten tickets for them for less than half face value within 10 minutes before the game. (Great seats too)

Every away game except FSU and UGA when we play there always have tickets for sale.

Always beware of counterfeits

. . . when buying tickets from strangers outside the stadium. Probably not so much for the Troy or S.C. State games, but for games with higher demand it would be wise to be wary. It's always a good idea to ask the seller if he/she would be willing to take the tickets to the admissions gate to be scanned. If the seller balks at this request, don't buy the tickets. I got burned outside PNC Park in Pittsburgh in 2013 after purchasing 2 tickets that turned out to be fake for a Pirates-Reds game. Don't assume that it couldn't happen in a place like Clemson - the technology & the skills to produce convincing fakes are ubiquitous. And counterfeiting tickets, while of course illegal, is much more of a low-risk/high-reward prospect than counterfeiting banknotes.
