What eSECpn really needs to worry about

Losing millions of cable subscribers per year, last year was down over 3 million, this year is projected more than that. The number of people dropping eSECpn through cord cutting or cord shaving has been increasing at a rate of 45 to 50%, year over year, however with this, carriage fees increase by 6.5% every year. Also in a recent study, only 35% of people said they would keep eSECpn if offered a la carte cable.
All of this is bad, but when you see that eSECpn will owe BILLIONS to NBA, NFL, MLB, SEC, et al by 2020, then you can see they have more to worry about than Clemson players not tweeting.

Cable channels. They were the #1 cable program last year. Traditional cable programming is changing all around, ESPN is better poised to survive than most cable channels.

off w/o ESPN??? Over the last several years, all FB games, most BskB games and some BB games have been on TV / computer. If cable / ESPN collapse, would Fox, CBS, or other channels be able to cover the same??? We could wind up on PPV vs. cable.
