Knute Rockne - 105 Wins, Dabo Swinney - 106 Wins, Frank Leahy - 107 Wins

Dabo is right smack in the middle of 2 Notre Dame Coaching Legends on the all-time Career wins list! Those 2 put Notre Dame on the map and both won multiple National Titles. Keep doing what your doing Dabo & keep passing Legends!!

Go Tigers, Beat Wake & GOD Bless Clemson!!!

Rockne lost more than 2 games only once in his 13 years.

Same with Leahy in his 11 years. Leahy would have stacked ~18 more wins if not for WWII. Dabo has also been blessed with playing in an era where he can play up to 15 games in a season.

They were blessed to play in a time when

there were no scholarship limits, zero parity, and had a budget that far exceeded most college football teams of the era.

THIS *** the Bear often gave scholarships to kids he knew would likely never play, just to keep them from going to LSU or Aw-burn. He would rather see them sit the bench for 3 years rather than face them once a season. Yea, real honorable man.

It just amazes me that so many great coaches left Bama and came to little ole Clemson and never wanted to go back to the mother ship. Top it all off all the talking heads believe Dabo will head home when momma comes calling. I'm not so sure of that. Once they become Clemson Tigers everywhere else is just not the same. Go Tigers.

He will jump 20-25 spots up that list by the end of this season .
Should finish 2018 with either 115 or 116 wins overall .

You give the total wins which is a great number for Dabo's. But with all due respect to Rockne, that 105 wins was his lifetime record. The rest of the story is, his complete record was 105 wins, 12 losses and 5 ties. If my math is right that's a .881 winning percentage. That still may be the best career winning percentage. I never have cared for ND that much but the story of ND football under Rockne is a remarkable story. One characteristic of his strategy was to start his "shock troops," then bring his starters in after they had a look at opposing tendencies.
