How did Keowee get so bad so fast?

Now they're selling lots like junk bonds. I had heard that the lake and the development was krappy. I wonder if people just want to unload the property tax net out of the regime fee. Gonna be a lot of mad people who bought in early.

And I don't know where you are getting your info, but the trends are up in terms of prices and # of sales.... Glut of available properties is finally coming down.

You must be referring to another keowee, cause the one I'm thinking of, you gotta be doing pretty good for yourself to live on that lake. Last time I was there I didn't see any single-wide trailers with burn barrels and junk cars in the yards. Just sayin.

It's just that six acre lake lots are now going for $19K according to the ad on Tigernet. Hey, I almost bought a few lots back when Keowee was getting going then but bought at Lake Burton instead not far from Nick Saban's place.

Lake Keowee has over 300 miles of shoreline

and its northernmost nooks and crannies creep way out into the wilderness. Some of its banks are 50-75ft dropoffs, pretty much impassible by humans and unusable as "lakefront property" other than a nice view.
It's not all million dollar land.
