KAMARA

Can we please stop talking about this kid. He is not coming to Clemson. Clemson is not gonna take a Bama Reject that is gonna to have to sit a year, that they turned down during the recruiting process last year. Dabo is going too sign a Stud HS running back instead with 4 years to play 5. The fact that this kid even thinks, that Clemson would take him pisses me off. Its like he is saying Clemson is a step down and he can come in a start right away. This kid is a Wake Forest or some team like that kind of get not Clemson. His best beat to play big time football is to go the Juco route.

yeah I sort of get tired of that stuff here too. It's like Morris or Alexander transferring. A bunch of innuendo beaten to death here.

Admittedly, I know very little about the kid, but just bc a bunch of Internet coaches are saying he could compete right away doesn't mean he is saying that. I know he said he wasn't leaving Bama due to PT, so if he had been interested in Clemson before, but we were full, why would we not take him now if we needed him?
The other day people were saying Morris should just leave bc they were sick of hearing about it.. Kind of similar to what you saying about Kamara. The simple answer? Do not stay near your computer.

One reason to take him - a hedge on Dye's long term

health. Full recovery from back surgery is not a sure thing. And we have another RB in Brooks who has been far, far from healthy.
It makes sense to at least consider Kamara after he's been through a year of training at Bama. Especially if he is in fact eligible.

He would have to sit a year. Taking a hs could would slove the same problem. Plus at least with a HS kid you could end up with a stud. Kamara has already been labeled a bust by one coaching staff.

No he would have to sit. However wrote this article did no research and came to some conclusion without any basis. I would say this kid doesn't go to any of the schools on this list.

Looking at NCAA rules it is all up to Bama

They have the power to grant him an exemption to playing in their official release. Since they limited him to not transferring to the SEC, I would think they might also grant him an exemption for non-SEC schools. If not it would be a pretty antagonistic separation to me.

Is Kamar a victim of the SEC schools practice of over signing and then having the school inform the student his scholarship will no longer be available next August? It seems every SEC school does this as a normal part of the recruiting process.

I think

that there were TWO kids last year who were being recruited by the major schools. both with the name Kamara. As I recall, one was a defensive back and on was a running back. The one Clemson recruited was a high school teammate of R.Nikimduchi (sic) and not the one who eventually ended up at Alabama. Am I remembering incorrectly?

Thanks for confirming my mentality. I should have asked you directly. What year did you graduate from Clemson?

Clemson backed of Alvin after we got dye. He came to the all in cookout and Dye beat him to the punch. David Kamara was only a take to get RN.

If he was suck a stud why didn't he get on the field at Bama and they want him gone. Bama thinks they can out recruit him and I think Clemson can do the same.
Ill take Eric Swinney in that Class any day over this kid.

afford to let talent go. From what I hear, they are stacked at RB with guys that are about the size of our LBs. I'd imagine getting suspended from the bowl game and no playing time has made this kid frustrated.
I will say, he probably needs to understand that he will not be given the starting role just because of his star rating, he should prove himself on the field...

So, Kellen Jones is in the same boat then?

I mean, why would we take an Oklahoma reject? Also Kamara will have 4 years to play 3. He will either go to Clemson, F.S.U. or U.C.L.A. I would prefer either Clemson or U.C.L.A. because the kid is the real deal.

No kid will have 3 to play 3 after sitting a year for the transfer rule. Jones followed Venables. Venables had a good ideal what we were getting

He just has to use his redshirt year the first year. We recruited this kid since he was a sophomore in high school, and offered him a scholarship. If he committed before Dye he would have been on the team.
