looking for my old Members Only jacket. I figure, if the Tigers are going to look like they did in the 80's, I should too. I asked my wife to wear something with shoulder pads in it and see if she couldn't get one of those "big hair" styles she used to wear when we were dating. She looked at me like I was crazy. But honestly folks, the 80's are back. Clemson has that swagger they used to have. They have that confidence that every time they step on the field they are the better team. We are back in the major bowls and even the top ten conversation. Scar fans are shaking in their boots. We believe that we can make a run at the MNC, maybe next year! I haven't felt this way since Danny Ford was at Clemson. Now, if I can only find that old Don Johnson Miami vice jacket . . .

Funny, yes.. but this isn't the 80s. Completely different strengths and weaknesses now. The Clemson of the 80s is much like the Alabama of today.

Me too. I grew up watching Clemson bang it up the middle.

Three yards and a cloud of dust. Ford would give it to the fullback up the middle on first down. He would give it to the fullback up the middle again on second down. Then on third and four he would pitch it to the tailback who would sprint to the corner for ten yards and a first down. Every one in the stadium knew what was coming next on ever play, but no one could stop it.

Where are the old iptay members selling their tix before the games......no #### though....we are at the start of a nice run of dominate clemson football again......I grew up in. the ford era.....and i never thought i would see us be dominate ever again....but by god we are.....and we will be in the nc talk for next season.

It is especially fitting that we start our run to the NC next year by kicking the dogs in the Valley. Ahh, just like old times!
