Probably Germans, but I wonder why the committee selected

BAMA and LSU, since they will have to drop one of those out after this Saturday? Doesn't that appear to be totally ignorant?
And leaving Baylor out? And Memphis (who badly beat the team that beat BAMA at home)? Their logic is similar to coot logic.

why either of them is in the top ten. It's sure not because of their one dimensional offenses.

somehow, I am thinking that it is insurance to have an SEC team in the playoff.....because Florida is a wild card, if they beat the West winner, then it will allow the loser of the Ala-LSU game to move into contention, providing Fla does not move it....it is politics to appease ESPN...Does not matter a whole lot, Alabama and LSU are very over rated

They picked those teams because they think those are the best 4 teams in the country, right now, at this very moment. They aren't projecting for the game this weekend between Bama and LSU.

All the better reason to put them both in

They know one will drop out but will at least get the SEC foot in the door so to speak. Their nightmare scenario is LSU wins this next game against Bama, and Ole Miss beats LSU later on. SEC gets locked out. Baylor or ND gets in then.

Baylor has no business in the top 4

They are a one trick pony. Pile up the points on teams with no pulse on defense. UCF and Michigan State beat them in bowls. Think TCU is more deserving than Baylor. Can't argue with LSU.
Be happy we are #1 at the moment

ND knocking on the door

tin foil hatters round here should see the SEC bias and the ND love. Put those two in the top 4, one has to lose this weekend and then you get an SEC and ND in the top 4. everyone is happy.

ND can get jumped later. They have a chance to knock out

the most likely Pac 12 rep themselves (Stanford), but ND is basically at the mercy of somebody else losing. I don't care if they are 4 next week, undefeated Big XII champ would jump them, 1-loss SEC champ would jump them.

They don't care. They are only trying to rank the teams as

of RIGHT NOW. You can argue whether or not Bama should be the team at 4, but i actually found it refreshing that they didn't just stack up the undefeated teams and then the 1-loss teams, etc. It's also good news for us i think that ND is 5.

Last year they had 3 SEC West teams in top 4 ...

At some point last year some permutation of Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss were 3 of the top 4.
So, I guess only 2 of the top 4 being from the SEC West is an improvement.
