The Raisin disgusts me more than Spurrier. At least with Spurrier, he knows he is an SOB and is pretty consistent. Holtz was an absolute fraud snake oil salesman who would sell his mother and give u a moto speech as to how he really did not do it.

feathered opponents in Columbia) brings to mind one Mr. Lou Holtz.
The fact that most Gamecock fans I know "dislike" him even more than I do adds weight to the premise that some folks, while achieving some success, garner more opponents from within their own bailiwicks than they do elsewhere.
Meanwhile, ole Steve Spurrier is one of those types who, while attaining a certain level of success, provides more comical relief than bitterness. The poor fellow just didn't realize that some ladders have never-ending rungs!

Holtz is just goofy, and I've always thought Spurrier was a good coach and is pretty funny. Previous coaches of theirs rubbed me the wrong way much more than Spurrier.

I dislike Slurrier's arrogance and antagonism. Even with that, he at least acts as if he wants to be here and is at least, glad to be the coach at USCjr. Lou Holtz was nasty and arrogant but he acted "holier than thou" and I felt like he held his nose while being at USCjr as if he were too good. He is a terrible coach, he didn't even learn the names of his players! He was and is a fraud and a total Notre Dame HOMER. So,Holtz needs to retire or die, whichever comes first.
