In 1982, we squared off against the vaunted rushing attack

Jan 7, 2016, 12:26 PM

of Nebraska led by senior center Dave Rimington. Not the trophy winner, but the man named for the trophy. That night he had the fight of his life against an awesome d-line and freshman phenom DT named William Perry who made more fame for a few offensive plays than his HOF caliber defensive play. Now 35 years later we square off against the vaunted rushing attack of Alabama led by Rimington trophy winner Ryan Kelly. I'm confident our stellar d-line with freshman phenom Christian Wilkins, will be just fine.

Go Tigers!

Not exactly ... Nebraska gained 6, then 2, then fumbled on

their opening drive.

William Devane totally beat Rimington on 3rd down and then recovered the ball.

We took over on the Nebraska 27.

Rimington really didn't have a particularly good game overall.

fridge was 6 yds downfield on that 3rd down, Devane beat the right guard across his face to force the fumble

Just sayin

Yes this is complete BS

As William said "He was holding all night". And Rimington did get flagged on at least one occasion.

Rimington was a JR and Outland Trophy winner that year

and the next. Steinkuhler was a SOPH in the game and the Outland trophy winner after Rimington's two. Clemson's DLs DESTROYED them.
