I'm a perfect world, and all players were in their prime

Which set of skill players would be the "ideal" choice to run Morris's system. 4 options here, and keep in mind these players should be considered in their prime. Don't take chemistry into consideration, as these are not actual teams, just some of the best players t each position in different eras of Clemson football
1. QB: Boyd RB: Ellington, J. Harper WR: Hopkins, Watkins, Bryant TE: D. Allen
Or
2. QB: Dantzler RB: J. Davis, Spiller WR: J. Ford, Stuckey, A. Currie TE: M. Palmer
Or
3. QB: H. Jordan RB: T. Flagler, K. Flowers WR: P. Tuttle, D. Clark, J. Butler TE: J. Riggs
Or
4. QB: R. Williams RB: T. Allen, R. Priester WR: R. Gardner, D. Thomas, D. Hamilton TE: K. Jennings

Really? I think Ford would have lit up the Slot-back/"2" WR

spot in Morris system. With Currie on the boundary at the 9 and Stuckey at the 5, there would be a ton of athleticism at receiver.

Ford would be a good playmaker in this offense, but

all of those WRs bring similar attributes, there's no height at the position, and not much diversity. It's not that it's a bad WR corp, but it doesn't stack up to the other groups IMO. For pass catchers i would go with the Watkins/Hopkins/Bryant/Allen group because i love what Dwayne Allen brings to the table in addition to other guys.
I'm not old enough to fairly judge #3, but looks very good.
#4 is the best all-around team i think. I love the Priester/Allen combo and Williams would be a very strong and durable QB for the system. We could be more run-heavy with this team than we've been the last few years, hopefully a bit more like Auburn last year.

You must not know much about T. Flagler, K. Flowers
They were h3ll on wheels and also had Drivers on that team.
All three played at the same time and share the ball.

I'd rather have #1 with #4's OL.

I agree with you. With a top 5 OL, the #1 group would be simply awesome!!!

All over it! I do think we are building the trenches, and the group that is committed is evidence of that focus. IMO, that is what has kept us out of the top echelon of teams. If our OL can match the talent level of our skill guys, this program will be unstoppable.

If you ever saw Williams throw a ball, you know you can't put him in this system. Don't mention the Penn State game. It was a lighting strike, plus I'm not sure JoePa even asked his guys to cover our receivers. He'd watched a season's worth of film on William's shot puts and played the odds.
If you would switch to Fuller or even Eppley, then #4 is stout.

Definitely #1 or #4. I think that I;m going to go with the #4 group for all around dominance. I always loved seeing Terry Allen running that ball.
