When did a 7-point win become a rout? Asking for a friend. Go Tigers. Beat OSU

ready to let folks know how much I would have enjoyed a real 49 point rout like I did last week. White knuckles and gnashing teeth do not feel like a rout.

ratings. Ohio state is not worthy and does not deserve to be there. Penn State should pitch a fit. Bogus board decision. osu is not even a conference champion. The system showed its true colors.
Go Tigers!!!

Agree completely. Penn State should be in, not OSU

Why should OSU get a bye in what is effectively the first round of the playoff (conference championships)? Alabama, Clemson, and Washington earned their bids. I'm not saying Ohio State isn't a very good team, but they didn't win their conference and they didn't have to play a difficult 13th game.

Couldn't agree more. Ohio gets in because of the name. I suppose head to head these days is completely irrelevant. I hope we beat them by 50.

Pitt AND lost to Michigan by 40 points. Do you think Pitt should have gone instead of us, they did beat us head to head AND they beat Penn State. PennSt would have gotten in instead of OhSt, if they hadn't lost one of those two games.

Apparently Conference championships don't matter

What's to stop a team in the same boat as Alabama this year from forfeiting the conference game in the future? Why risk a star player getting injured when you're trying to win it all? Plus, there's the extra week to prepare.

Conference championships are VERY important

Winning the conference is not the national championship but you would never lose on purpose just for a chance at the national championship game

This sets the precedent that they don't really matter in the future, especially when it comes to the payout for the national.

Top 4 should be: 1) Alabama 2) Clemson 3) Washington 4) Ohio State. This system is no better than the BCS. ESPN still lobby's for who THEY want for ratings because they want Alabama vs OSU in title game. They do not want a repeat of last year's 2 teams. Truthfully, OSU shouldn't even be in Top 4 due to no Conference Championship. They should have to play Alabama. I hope Clemson beats tbem unmercifully. GO TIGERS!!!

a one score victory, 42-35, is not a rout. Our game was far from it. There were a couple times we were headed that way, but they kept getting back in the game. We were hoping our D would come through in the waning minutes. So glad they did.
