If he isn't,we're in trouble

Nov 2, 2016, 3:33 PM

Tucker, forget the star rating,he's a record holder for passing in Florida. He is also one of only 27(nationwide) to ever pass for the yardage he did.

Kelly Bryant, this staff that recruits better than most of, chose him over Jackson.

Cooper, kid's a mixture of Boyd and Watson and Street loves him.

If one of these 3 aren't ready and we need to rely on an incoming freshman, we're in trouble. Freshman coming in like Watson are few and far between.

KB will start unless he's injured.***

Doubtful.

KB can't throw....at all......he may have mastered the zone read but we got to be able to throw the ball...

I'd hate to think we're depending on a freshman QB to be a starter.
Go Tigers!!

Hate to say it but Tucker Israel will never start here unless we're decimated with injuries. He'll be 3rd string next year.

It will most certainly be Bryant or Cooper.

Cooper will take over the job

I think Cooper is next man up but maybe Bryant will surprise us. Brice and Johnson will most likely be RS.

Tay Tay is gone after this year. He may not be a high pick but he will make a team for sure. Great route runner and heart of a champion. Great elusiveness. He will be a solid slot WR in the league.

I'll be stunned if he leaves...not sure he translates to NFL***

Nov 3, 2016, 3:03 PM [ in reply to Re: Did you forget Tay Scott?*** ]

Why would he leave knowing he won't get drafted? Who does that? Scott is a great fit in our offense and your right, he has the heart of a champion, but pretty much every college football team has a wr like him. The gritty, great rout running, great team player, reliable receiver. Maybe he will catch on with a team like Adam Humphries, actually I'm sure he will, but why would he forgo his senior year for that? He will be back next year.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Scott will graduate this year

Nov 3, 2016, 3:36 PM

It isn't like it would be a situation where he chooses the NFL over his degree. He will already have his degree so chances are very slim that he would come back. He will likely be drafted somewhere in the mid rounds on day 2.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I agree. I think he will have a solid NFL career******

You forgot 4 star wr artavis Scott. He's only a Jr, why wouldn't he be back next year? He's not going pro this year, he wouldn't be drafted.

Tay Scott

Nov 3, 2016, 5:37 PM [ in reply to Re: Next year's starting QB may not be on campus yet ]

Just my opinion...
Nothing more; As someone stated, I think the plan WAS for Scott to leave after this
year. But! Quit frankly I don't think he's going have the season to support that this
year. At 5'10" 190 lbs, he was never going be a featured receiver in the NFL. And
a excellent season in 2016, would had probably only seen him go as a 3rd round draft
pick- "and" providing he was a good return specialist as well-- but none of that seems
to be happening. So I sort of agree, "IF" he leaves this year-017 draft. He might be
looking at 5th or 6th round. But like I said, like I said...
that's just my 2 cents.
Only 2 Juinors that make sense to me are Watson and Williams, maybe Leggett?

Bryant will start. If he struggles early don't be surprised to have Cooper or a true freshman replace him as early as the Auburn game.

Auburn is going to be a tough game for us. Its going to be a real defensive struggle next year. Hopefully feaster breaks out and Bryant/Cooper are better than we think

Trevor Lawerence may not even come to Clemson, and if he does it won't be until 2018.

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

Re: Next year's starting QB may not be on campus yet

Nov 3, 2016, 5:29 PM

I think it'll be cooper. He's bigger than Deshaun already and has a lively arm. Missed sometime in high school with a knee injury but obviously should be fully healthy now. He throws the ball like Michael Vick. Snaps the wrist and it flies

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Cooper will start. He seems to be Streeter's guy...

Nov 3, 2016, 6:29 PM

Never heard him gush over KB or TI like he did Zerrick.

Let's step back a bit.

Nov 3, 2016, 7:35 PM

Watson wasn't even a starter when he first came to Clemson, not after the first depth chart was released. And that was against Cole Stoudt.

Even if Hunter Johnson or Chase Brice is enrolled early, QB is the most difficult position to learn. And the gap of talents between Johnson/Brice and Kelly/Cooper/Israel will be narrower than that of Watson and Stoudt.

Lastly, knowing Dabo, he won't just promise and give a starting position to a new guy just because he's highly rated. Those who came before are also talented and deserves to play. That's why we see Pagano and Lawrence take turns being a starter.
