If there is ever a time when a non-power 5 team can get in it ought to be when you have an undefeated non power 5 team, and two power 5 conference champs with two losses. I don’t think Bama should be in, but neither do I like OSU and USC in with two losses. Would rather have seen UCF.

they'd have to schedule & beat an elite power 5

and look better on defense than ucf as well. Boise St in the late 2000's would have made a 4 team field at least twice
