IF Awburn is so good, then why didn't they rip Louieville's throat off?

Saying, I realize the close final score made UL look better than what they actually are..but Awburn is still being pushed as a final 4 team.
What say you? GoTiGs!

Obviously they were not trying hard since it was not an SEC game...

I think they look like a 2-3 loss team.

I can see them dropping games to Bama, Georgia, maybe A&M or somebody like that. They have a lot of improving to do if they want to make any sort of run this year.
This is from my preseason poll- Perhaps a trendy pick this year, the Tigers can put up points but it's their defense which should be much improved this year. A healthy Carl Lawson as well as Montravius Adams could prove a formidable front. A successful season could still hold two loses.

That's the only reason they came back in that game. Louisville looked awful.

That's the hardest part of coaching these young men. Keep the foot on the throat until the end.

most of that is the coaches taking their foot off the gas...

not the players.
a lot of coaches are so PC on running the score up that they get conservative in their play calling................4 three and outs later it's a much closer game than it should've been (not saying this was/wasn't the case for AU/Louisville, b/c i didn't see most of it)
but to use dabo as an example we get up big on UNC last year and he decides to put the backup QB.........three and out and a few big plays for UNC later they're "back in it"
we get up 14 on wofford and put the backup QB and/or punt returner in and we fumble the ball away...............not that it mattered much b/c it was never in jeopardy, but the mindset of the coach is typically reflected in the play calling.
i want to beat everybody 100-0 regardless of what team we are playing.............sure you can take out the starters, but let them run the same plays the first team runs (ie downfield passes, etc...)

What's amazing, is that Louisville played them tough and should have won the game, and barely gets mentioned in the new poll, but Alabama beats the crap out of Wisconsin and they're still a top 25 team.

Uh...I hate SEC too...but Auburn owned Louisville. 17 to zip in the first half can't be called anything but power. Louisville wasn't a laydown and they played well in flashes. But the majority of their points came in late 4th quarter when Auburn was already giving younger players experience.
Auburn Sucks...the SEC sucks.... but the truth is the truth. Hate it though, I was hoping Louisville would be ranked when we beat them next week.
Go Tigers!
